Welcome, and thank you for choosing URW Community Federal Credit Union for your financial needs. Here are a few things to keep in mind as you begin the enrollment process.
- This process will take about 10 minutes and there are two (2) steps:
- Account Sign Up
- Account Funding
Please be aware that to open a URW Community Federal CU account online, you must be:
- A U.S. citizen or a U.S. resident alien.
- At least 18 years of age
You will need to refer to several things during this process:
- Driver's license, state ID number or Passport
- Previous home address (if you have lived at your home address less than two years)
- U.S. Social Security number, or Tax Identification Number
- Credit or debit card or U.S. checking account and routing number to fund your new URW Community Federal CU account
- Current e-mail address
- Account information from other financial institutions that you wish to switch to URW.
Important Information about Procedures for Opening a New Account
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. When you open a new account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.
Youth Account Application
The online Youth account application is designed for a Parent or Guardian to apply for membership on behalf of a minor.
Youth Account Requirements:
- URW Community Federal requires the Parent and/or Guardian of the minor/applicant complete this application
- At least one Parent or Guardian must be a joint tenant on the account
- The joint tenant must be a current member
- If a Checking is requested, the joint tenant must qualify for a Checking account in their own right before a Teen Checking account can be opened and the minor must be between the ages of 13 and 17
- If a Checking is requested and the joint tenant has a checking account, it must be in good standing
- Other qualifications for a Checking account may apply
Funding Your Account
When you open your membership with URW Community Federal, you will be given a Membership Savings Account. You must deposit at least $25.00 to become a member. You can fund your account by:
- Visa Debit or Credit Card
- MasterCard Debit or Credit Card
- Electronic funds transfer from your checking account at another financial institution.
- Already a Joint Owner at URW Community Federal? Transfer funds to fund your new membership.
Electronic Communications Disclosure and Consent
Please take a moment to read URW Community Federal's Online Banking Enrollment Electronic Communications Disclosure, your consent and acceptance of all terms and conditions are required to continue.
You, including any joint account-holder(s) and co-applicant(s), if any, agree with all terms of the
Electronic Communications Disclosure and Consent and consent to receiving Electronic Communications from us. If you do not wish to receive Electronic Communications from us, you may
apply for membership by mail,
facsimile or in person at any
URW Community Federal location.
